Born in Aylmer, Built for Canadian Homes

As the article explains, EverVent started when Johan Van Hulle and his wife were preparing a nursery in their Aylmer home. Like many families in Canada, they struggled with dry air and dust — especially near floor vents during heating season. Johan, an industrial designer with over a decade of experience in medical devices, took a hands-on approach to solving the problem.

Using a 3D printer in his home workshop, he created the first prototype of what would become EverVent — a sleek, low-maintenance floor register that passively humidifies and filters air using the home’s existing HVAC system. After dozens of design iterations and material testing, EverVent was born.

The Aylmer Bulletin feature does a great job of showing how EverVent isn’t just another product — it’s the result of care, craftsmanship, and a drive to improve everyday living. With features like:

• A small daily-evaporating water reservoir (no standing water = no mold),

• A replaceable wood-pulp filter that traps dust and pet hair,
